Have you ever had a conversation like this with one of your kiddos before they head off to school in the morning?
“Did you make your bed?”
“No.”
“Did you brush your teeth?”
“Ummm, no.”
“Did you pack your lunch?”
“No, I forgot!”
“Did you print your homework?”
“Oh, no. Can you help me?”
A scene like this is generally followed by stomping, groans and maybe even some tears. (And that’s just from you.)
To help your kiddos get more organized before and after school, you need to make this DIY Dry-Erase School Chore Chart that includes sections for both before and after school.
Make it’s home somewhere your child will SEE first thing in the morning like beside their bed, in the bathroom or in your kitchen. As they complete their tasks, make a check mark by the chores.
Maybe with this chore chart your back-to-school stress level will go down and your child will be proud of the responsible kid they are becoming. Extra benefit, no more morning rides to school filled with tears (and those are from you). Good luck!
