It’s Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Women & Kids Sale.

This is the best time because most of Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale and Early Fall Items are 40% off retail.

Believe me, I realize this site is dedicated to saving money, but it is also about making SMART purchases for your family.

Here is an example, I purchase all of my kiddos shoes at Nordstrom.

Why do I do this? Because Nordstrom’s measures their feet, makes sure they are sized correctly, my kids love their shoes, and for some reason the shoes last TWICE AS LONG. DS has his shoes from last year and they are still holding up – no holes or ripped apart soles. So it is worth paying an extra $15 for that experience.

Or, these Frye Boots (yes, I own them). The leather is beautiful, they are SO WELL MADE, and a classic style that I will own for a lifetime. Were they expensive? Yes. But so is buying a $60 pair every year. (And they are on sale right now…)

    I buy 2 things ALWAYS at Nordstrom. First is perfume. I hate all of the different sales people that rep perfume at 6 different counters. Nordstrom has them all together and I have coffee beans to smell to change each scent. Secondly, their lingerie department is fantastic. I love getting fitted for the perfect bra, and it seriously does make a difference!

    If I were to win the gift card, I would buy my hubby a nice comfortable pair of boots that he could wear when he is not at work. My husband works over 90 hours a week to enable me to stay at home with our daughter. He has to wear steel toe boots for his safety, and his feet are badly callased from the constant wear. I would surprise him with maybe Vincent Cumato boots, to show our love and appreciation to him (and maybe a pedicure a well). Thank you for the chance to win.

    Nordstrom is one of my fave places to eat and shop. I would take my friends from work for a delicious lunch. Then, I would buy chocolates for the afternoon. We are teachers and school personnel in a public middle school, and I would like to treat them to a wonderful meal!

Maybe that new eye cream I’ve been wanting…no wait….I’ve always wanted some Kate Spade earrings…..oh, the purses, the shoes, the choices! I know, I’ll go upstairs…what’d I do for a quality pair of jeans…yes, that would be pure luxury! No, I mean, yes, I think a fur collared coat would be devine!
