Believe me, I realize this site is dedicated to saving money, but it is also about making SMART purchases for your family.
Here is an example, I purchase all of my kiddos shoes at Nordstrom.
Why do I do this? Because Nordstrom’s measures their feet, makes sure they are sized correctly, my kids love their shoes, and for some reason the shoes last TWICE AS LONG. DS has his shoes from last year and they are still holding up – no holes or ripped apart soles. So it is worth paying an extra $15 for that experience.
Or, these Frye Boots (yes, I own them). The leather is beautiful, they are SO WELL MADE, and a classic style that I will own for a lifetime. Were they expensive? Yes. But so is buying a $60 pair every year. (And they are on sale right now…)
