So we’ve talked about makeup brushes and lip care – now let’s talk about skin care.
I will admit to have two different skincare regimes – a summertime regime and a wintertime regime.
During the summer, it’s about SPF and keeping my skin clean because of the humidity (and sweat it makes me produce.) And it is a pretty simple routine – Cetaphil face wash in the morning and night and SPF moisturizer on my face and body during the day.
But winter brings on a whole different routine. Because my skin dries out badly in the winter, I require more moisturizing body washes and lotions and I apply a thicker moisturizer during the day and night.
I’m an Aveeno/Recyclebank Beauty Ambassador and over the last year I have had the opportunity to sample many of their products.
I have to say, their line of body wash, lotions and moisturizers are truly amazing. The moisturizers cover and protect you without feeling greasy or that you have a layer of “lotion build-up”. And I love the way they smell – just the right amount of scent to be fragrant without overpowering. They almost make freezing weather bearable.
And because everyone should enjoy moisturized skin – I’m giving away (3) Aveeno Skin Care Prize Packs.

The one beauty product I could not live w/out would be my lotion. Even on an island..
Definitely, chapstick.
If I were stranded on a desert island I would need only a huge container of Vaseline- it is so versatile and my dry skin would need the hydration! Not to mention it doubles as a chapstick!
i love aveeno
A moisturizer with SPF in it!
My skin dries out badly in the winter too!
I use a moisturizer with SPF year round. In the winter I often also use Eucerin or Aquaphor before bed. I tend to get dry chapped patches on my face in the winter. And my hands…they need extra care in the winter as well.
I don’t know what I would do without vaseline! Especially for my lips – nothing keeps them moisturized better than good old vaseline.
I don’t change my routines. My skin is crazy no matter what the weather is. Haha!
i dont really change anything year round, maybe use more hand and body lotion?
I use a thicker, more moisturizing cream in the colder weather, but I use lotion daily year-round!!
I use a facial moisturizer in the winter months, but not in the summer.
Fingers crossed….thanks for keeping us so informed.
I moisturize more in the colder months
I make sure my face products have SPF for summer but that is about the only difference for me
Yes, I add a thicker moisturizer and start using a moisturizing body wash.
In the winter I have to switch to a heavier moisturizer, even with my oily skin. For some reason it freaks out and gets super dry sporadically!
When the season changes (for the colder) I try to use more moisturizer as my skin tends to dry out, especially my face.
I use more chapstick and lotions with shea buter
I do change my skin routine up a bit in the winter. I use thicker moisturizers in the winter than in the summer. My skin dries out very easily. 🙁
I LOVE Aveeno – all their products make my skin so smooooooth.
I will use more lotion.
I use more lotion and chapstick when the weather gets colder.
I use more moisturizer in winter…
I’m a teacher and wash my hands every 20 minutes while at school. I swear by Eucerin in the winter, for this reason!
lotion and socks to bed for my feet!
I feel like a fish out of water in the winter months. My face gets so dry it peels
During the summer neutrogena, during the winter Aveeno!
Use more face moisturizer and lip balm type products in the fall winter.
Come about this time of year, when the dryer, cooler weather hits, Cetaphil cream is my best friend. We go through tubs of the stuff in our house!!
I use more lotion, lip balm, and moisturizer in the winter.
Go lighter in the summer and heavier in the winter to combat dryness
Sometimes i mix vaseline and lotion together, it leaves my skin soft and shiny!
I use lighter products in the summer and think cream in the winter….
I use a thicker, more moisturizing lotion during winter.
The only consistant thing I do is wash my face with Noxzema. I use moisturizers when needed, my face is prone to breakouts if I use too many products. I don’t have seasonal skin, mine is definitely hormonal and tempermental!
Thicker lotion in the winter
i use more vaseline!
I have to add a lot of moisturizers and better stuff… During the spring and summer I can get away with cheap lotions but winter comes and I need the good stuff like Aveeno and Burts Bees.
Most definitely use a thicker moisturizer. Nothing is more annoying than dry skin.
Definitely more lotion everywhere and more frequently.
My skin dries out badly as well in winter.. Need more moisturisers
I have to add more lotion especially on my hands.
I add skin healing lotion.
definitely use more lotion and I do foot treatments with warm socks in the winter
I use thicker hand lotion at night
daily and night lotion
I always use acnefree face wash. In days during the summer I use aveeno face sunscreen as lotion and in the winter it is a good oil free moisturizer. I also switch up makeups because I can’t stand adding more grease to my face in the summer so it is all mineral makeup and in the winter a liquid foundation topped with minerals.
