Back To School Giveaway: Pair of Converse Tennis Shoes (3 Winners)

Famous Footwear has launched a contest on Facebook called “Step It Up For Your School.”

This national contest allows high school students to advocate for their high school and how it can be improved.

Each contestant writes a 250-word essay about what they would do to improve their school.

And then from now till September 24, Famous Footwear Fans can vote each day on their favorite essay and the winner will receive $75,000 to transform their high school and $25,000 to keep for for their own transformation. (Hopefully that is code for college.)

And in order for you to transform your look for back-to-school – Famous Footwear (the back-to-school footwear destination) is giving three Kansas City Mamas readers their own pair of Converse Tennis Shoes.

Here’s How To Enter The Giveaway

    I always got a NEW box of 64 crayola crayons, WITH a sharpener on the back of the box! My favorite color is Periwinkle Blue and Burnt Sienna!

    I always loved the new clothes and shoes we got! I bought my son new shoes this year on vacation at Under Armour Outlet and he put them on yesterday for school only to find out we had two right feet! Now I have to ship one back to NH making them not such a bargain after all!! Ugh!!! Live and learn that I should check inside the box myself since obviously they did not!! Still think they should pay the shipping though, not I!! Oh, well!!

    I always got a new pencil box. May seem small, but you could hide the fact that not all your supplies were new if you had a cool new box to keep them in!

    I LOVE the smell of new crayons and have fun buying lots of them at this time of year. It was always one of my favorite things as a kid.

    I love new colored paperclips, folders, binders, cool “boxes”.. perhaps it is the organizer in me or just the high school teacher! 🙂

    new crayons with the sharp tips, I still buy several new boxes every year! There is just something about new crayons!

    I can’t pick a favorite back-to-school item! I miss shopping for new school supplies, and can’t wait until my little one gets old enough for it (although I don’t look forward to the expense). New folders, reams of paper, pens, backpack, even boxes of Kleenex…I love all of it! :o)

    I was one of the few kids that looked forward to going back to school, because that meant I got something new! Shoes, crayons, notebooks, pencils – I loved it all.

    I always loved getting a new pair of jeans for back to school even though it was still too hot to wear them.

    Back to school was so exciting…I think I loved new notebooks that were still fresh and ready to write in. Sharp pencils and crayons still give a little thrill!

    I always think that a new outfit and new shoes make you feel so refreshed for the first day of school. There is something nice about the feel of fresh new clothes and shoe makes your sprit high.

    I loved all the cool Lisa Frank stuff that was popular when I was in grade school! So colorful and awesome. And I loved getting a new lunchbox each year! New Kids on the Block, The Wizard of Oz, etc.

    My favorite back to school item was a new lunch box. We ALWAYS took our lunch and when I was a kid that was the highlight.

    I loved to get the little oxford shoes, my grandma would take me to buy from the mall, those part white, part black, but then the pink ones came out and even had rubber soles! 🙂
