Welcome KC Live Viewers!
Thanks for watching me today (on 8/30/12).
If you are looking for ways to save a buck or two without resorting to “extreme” methods or sacrificing quality – you’ve come to the right place.
Here are the tips that I talked about on today’s show.
1. Labor Day means parties, grilling, get-togethers, and camping. So any supplies you think you’ll need for those events most likely are on sale this week. This includes potato chips, hamburger meat, condiments, paper products (napkins, plates, cups), buns, etc.
2. Most of the items on sale this week are shelf-stable (which means they have a LONG shelf life). Buy a couple of extra at 50% off retail and store them. You’ll have saved money by shopping in your pantry instead of at the store.
3. Did you know that you can freeze bread, potato chips and hamburger meat? You can. Just think of your freezer as an extension of your pantry.
