Review & Giveaway: Papa Murphy’s Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza + $25 Gift Cards (4 Winners)

I love Fridays.

I love that a week is over.

I love that the weekend is about to begin.

But, I despise cooking.

Can anyone relate?

And last Friday, when I had NO desire to cook, I was lucky enough to experience Papa Murphy’s for the first time. (I’m sure there is a gasp from some of you, but yes, I never had Papa Murphy’s before…and now I’m following Papa Murphy’s on Facebook.)

I knew about their whole take-and-bake philosophy. And while it peaked my interests, I had a hard time believing a take-and-bake pizza would be better than the frozen alternative.

And, I am a pizza snob.

(Did I mention I have a stone pizza oven in my backyard?)

But, I was wrong.

My whole family was SURPRISED and DELIGHTED at the overall quality, taste, and affordability of the pizzas.

The kiddos each got a Mini Murphs. It was cool to watch them make their own pizza – which they loved.

And hubs and I got to experience the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza. (For those of you who are Nebraska Natives – it rivals my favorite Cheeseburger Pizza from Valentino’s.)

Ingredients on the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza include 100% real mozzarella cheese, ground beef, crispy bacon, fresh onions, Roma tomatoes, dill pickles chips, and a yummy sauce that I think is a combination of ketchup, mustard, and mayo.

And because every mama should have the good fortune of NOT cooking on a Friday night – Papa Murphy’s is giving away $25 Gift Cards to (4) Kansas City Mamas readers.

    My FAVE pizza just happens to be Papa Murphy’s Chicken Bacon Arctichoke DeLite pizza! Sooo yummy! I even had to tell the family I won’t share it!

    I cant believe you had never had Papa Murphys! 🙂 It is a staple at my house. The ongoing argument inside of me is a battle between the garlic chicken and the cowboy pizzas. MMMM. Either is wonderful. Next time try the smores. We take it home and add a few extra choc chips and marshmallows….mmmmm, divine.

    I’ve never tried Papa Murphy’s but my Grandma swore by it if she was going to grab carry-out pizza.

    Cheeseburger pizza is one of the mysteries of the midwest to me- have never tried it and they definitely don’t serve it back on the east coast. I am salivating thinking about it, though, so I might have to trust you! I have never had Papa Murphy’s or any “take and bake” either but the chicken bacon artichoke sounds riiiight up my alley!

    My favorite pizza is anything bbq that has perfectly yummy red onions and bbq sauce. I also really enjoy Papa Murphy’s delite taco pizza.

    The 5 meat stuffed is yummy, garlic chicken is yummy as well, oh and the herb chicken is yummy as well.

    Already subscribe and like you on FB. We like their cowboy pizza and we did the papa minis for the first time last week. Loved them!!! The boys working the store were kind enough to let me change out the pepperoni for canadian bacon. Great idea and the price is not bad.

    Our family loves pizza!! Whenever the UPS guy rings the door, they yell, “pizza!” Haven’t tried Papa Murphy’s in years and it would be fun!

    I’ve never tried Papa Murphy’s, but my parents like it. My favorite pizza is my homemade pizza. I make it from scratch with the kitchen aid pizza dough recipe, pile it high with topping, and about a bag and a half of cheese per Pizza. I usually can’t eat more than two pieces, but it is so good.

    My favorite thing about Papa Murphy’s is having “birthday pizza” … If you call ahead they will have a heart shaped crust made for you and then we have them top it w/ Pepperoni in the shape of said bday child’s age. It is a little tradition we started when our oldest was 4! Cheap, easy and a tradition they all look forward to.

    I enjoy their chicken bacon artichoke on the delite thin crust. We discovered Papa Murphy’s when there was a young man dressed as a giant piece of pizza, waving by the side of the road. He was so cheerful and enthusiastic, that I felt like we had to try his pizza, if only to make him feel appreciated. This was 12 years ago, and it’s become a Thursday night tradition at our house.

    I have never had Papa Murphy’s, so am not sure of all their pizzas. As a rule my family love pepperoni, canadian bacon, and pineapple.

    I love papa Murphy’s Mediterranean delite pizza! It’s amazingly delicious! I worked for papa Murphy’s for years but I could still eat their pizza every day!

    I love the delight pizzas! We eat pizza with the kids every Friday night and Papa Murphys is a great choice when we want to eat in. The kids love pepperoni and we like the one with chicken and white sauce…yum!
