Y’all know that I love Libby’s.
Usually, I love Libby’s because I’m able to get their canned goods for mere pennies at Hen House.
Some of those canned goods I take home and use in my pantry, but more times than not, I buy those canned goods knowing they will be donated.
I’ve talked about this many times before – but we are blessed to know how and to have the time to coupon in order to make our hard-earned dollars go farther in our households. We are blessed because couponing has afforded us financial margin in our lives. But for the majority of people who read Kansas City Mamas – we never have to worry about whether or not there will be food on the table.
Libby’s recognized that there are so many others who are in need and developed Feeding America – a virtual food drive.
Libby’s will match dollar-for-dollar the amount of money raised by participating bloggers (like me), up to $40,000, in order to provide food for families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to put food on the table.
And here is how you can help…
Join Team Kansas City Mamas. For every donation you make, I’ll match it, dollar-for-dollar up to $750.
My goal is to raise $1500 and I think it is possible. By even donating $5.00 – you can feed 35 families.
And what’s even better – Libby’s will match Team Kansas City Mamas donation. So essentially, this little blog with its passionate readers could provide food for over 10,000 people.
And when you think about it – that’s a pretty cool thing.
