As school approaches, I’m reminded how fast time can go when you have kids.

And as I paid for a whole new set of school supplies and clothes, I also realize how expensive it can be having kids.

I was just commenting to a friend the other day that to have a “date night” with Hubs is at least $125.00. (Dinner and drinks for $50, movie for $24.00, and sitter for $50.00.) And for some families, that is almost like having an additional car payment. (Not really. But close.)

So to make it easier for one of my “mamas” to have a date night with her man, I have an awesome Kansas City Date Night Package courtesy of Kansas City Valpak and Morgan’s Deals. (Yep, they are owned by the same people.)

    Amazing: 2 1/2 months of fun w/ my 4 girlies! Lots of camps, sleepovers, movies, treats & trips. Also amazing is them going back to school so I can reorganize our house & declutter a bit!

    My husband is wonderful! We have 4 kids 7 and under. Our oldest daughter has autism with severe developmental delays and is non verbal. Even if he’s been out in the 100 degree weather all day (pours concrete) he still manages to come home with a smile and spend time with the kids, help our daughter with some therapy lessons, help with dinner, and anything else and then works on his passion of art all the while not asking for a thing. He sacrifices everything for us so I can stay at home with the kids while they’re little. I love him so much. Best 10 years and forever to go

    Something amazing…..well we have a 5 year old and a 7 month old…can’t tell you the last time the hubs and I have had some time to ourselves! This would be awesome to spend time together and not worry about diapers, food or sleep. Spending money on ourselves has become less a priority these days….

    Something amazing: I am 35 wks pregnant with baby number3. Have gestational diabetes and my blood sugars have been all over the place. As a stay at home mom, I am exhausted by the time hubs comes home and he has been taking over full duty after working in the heat all day and taking full care of kiddos so I can rest. I would love to win this and have give him one last date night/break from kiddoa before baby comes!

    Something amazing about my relationship: The first year of marriage my husband and I were so mad at each at one point we went 3 months without saying a word to each other. We were so committed to making the marriage work that we pulled through it and just celebrated our 10 year anniversary this past May. I also follow you on facebook and am an email subscriber.     Amazing: my husband of almost 15 years goes to work, works really hard,depending on the day and time of year he may be outside in the hottest heat, or working in freezing temperatures. He does this while I get to be home and get sweet cuddles or watch my kids succeed at a task they’ve worked at or having fun splashing about at the local pool, or hearing my kiddo read a full story for the first time. I am blessed, but definitely wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to spend an evening out with the lovely man who works to make my life possible.

    My something amazing- we between us have 6 children, 3 dogs, 7 fish and a turtle. My husband and I both work outside the home, so my amazing is my children. They are such wonderful blessings and I wouldn’t change a thing. So if we were to win, I would make sure we make it a family affair. Mom and dad get enough time when they go to bed, or when they are awake that I would like to have a wonderful family dinner and let them know how much we appreciate them. mom and dad will enjoy the time spent knowing we support this with our children’s help.     My amazing is my husband we have been married 10 years in December! When the downturn started he was in the construction industry, and he has worked so hard to support our family, we moved from California to Kansas City. He is the best Daddy to all of our girls and my best friend he’s an amazing man. With help from your blog I have learned to be a coupon ninja and stretch every dollar we have! Date nites a special occasion around here so it would be nice to treat my heard working man to a night on the town!

    Something amazing? Does the fact that next month my hubby and I will celebrate out 19 weeding anniversary count? What if I told you I never pictured myself married and that I DO NOT feel old enough to say I am having a 19th wedding anniversary soon. Yet here I am, married longer than most people I know.     My something amazing is that I just took a week long vacation with my husband to celebrate our 10th anniversary! It was an amazing week of fun and relaxing with each other! It was our first time vacationing without our kids and from what I hear they had an amazing time with my parents all week 🙂

    Best piece of advice that a professor in my early childhood program gave me was to always remember that your Marriage is first. You will always love your children, but remember the person you marry will be with you for life. The love you show each other will flourish through your children and will give them a solid foundation of love as well.

    I had three leaks in my master shower. I ended up with horrible mold and water damage. I retiled my bathroom. Stripped the ceiling in our family room. Put up new sheetrock and textured the ceiling myself. And repainted, trim. Blah Blah. Took me six weeks but I saved our family a lot of money. Could really use a date night.

    My husband & I had our daughter at only 23 weeks pregnant weighing 1lb. She will be celebrating her 1st birthday in less than 2 months!!! We will have to go into isolation during flu & RSV season to keep her healthy and would love to have a date night before we aren’t able to for 7 months!

    Something amazing is the family of bats living under the roof of the house we are selling. They are cute but cost a lot to make go away (don’t worry they won’t be hurt). I could use a night out and a drink.

    something amazing…. something amazing would be winning this contest! hubby and i and our kids live on his income meant for a college kid. its extremely hard so date nights happen rarely. we do however make the 2hr drive to KC several times a year since we have family there and theres always new, fun and exciting things to do as a family. for once it would be amazing to do a date night that doesnt hurt the budget! 🙂 thank you so much for the chance!
