I smell laundry detergent and fabric softener.
Like open the bottle, close my eyes, and take a whiff.
Yes, I realize I’m weird. (Not just for this thing…but a WHOLE laundry list of other things.)
Why do I do this? I think it gives me a sensory memory of clean laundry coming out of the dryer. And that smell reminds me of a sense of accomplishment, perfection (because it is clean, not dirty) and inner-peace that I don’t have to do that load again for another week.
It’s those little things…that sense of accomplishment in a load of laundry…that get me through the craziness of the Holiday season.
So don’t judge when I smell the laundry detergent (And have you smelled Gain by the way? Best smelling laundry product EVER!), it could be my touchstone to not going crazy with deals, shopping, cooking, kids, pageants, activities, baking, wrapping, and more.

I am a super sniffer, I smell absolutely everything before I buy it. A friend of mine is now a gain fanatic because every time she came over when I was doing laundry she would comment on how good it smelled! I have officially turned her into a gain user of everything they now make. I go over to her house now and comment on how her house smells yummy!
I also lovvvvve laundry soap and fabric softeners also. I love that part of my stockpile. I even have been putting full closed boxes of gain sheets in dresser drawers,closets and storage chests. Yum smells so good even in the boxes.

My weird habbit is jumping back into my bed after I take my morning shower 🙂 I just lay there for a few minutes and gather my thoughts and then proceed with the rest of the day. Somehow it is great on especially stressful days.

I have to use Gain detergent AND fabric softner. One time I sent my husband to the store and had Gain on the list. I was in the shower when he called, but when he got home he had bought some scentless off brand detergent because it was on sale. Lets just say he won’t ever do that again!!! I was so sad!!!
My weirdo habit: Since I can only share just one, I’ll share that I LOVE the way my husband’s deodorant smells. I smell it whenever I miss him, and if he’s away for a while, I’ve been known to wear his brand so I can smell him near me.
