Extreme Coupon on TLC will be back for a full-season of episodes starting April 6th.
For those that are new to couponing and strategic shopping – know that you do NOT need to invest 30 hours per week or convert your attic or garage into a pantry in order to save money.
Most people can save 30 to 40% with three to five hours of work per week and following store coupon matchups and creating a price book.
Each week you will find on Kansas City Mamas
- Coupon Matchups for Hy-Vee, Hen House, Price Chopper and Target.
- Information on making good, easy and healthy meals with What’s For Dinner.
- And a common sense approach as I spend $300 to feed my family in Success Stories.
The best way to stay in the know is to sign up for my email newsletter or follow me on Facebook.
And here are some other resources to help you get started.

This show is crazy! Do they ever talk about how much people spend on newspapers, etc.. to get coupons? Something about this is depressing. Kelly – thanks for taking a reasonable approach!

This show was crazy – seriously what are these people thinking – it seems like they are a few steps away from being on hoarders! My question is if everyone did this wouldn’t they stop offering coupons? How can the stores/retailers make any money if they get everything for free.
Kelly says
Tiffeny – You raise a great question. Steps are already in place to change to limit use. P&G Coupon have a limit of four like coupons per transaction. The number of catalinas is much less than before and we are seeing less and less rebates.
Do I think this will last forever? No. couponing still takes work (even with helpful sites like mine and other great deal blogs). Not as much work as the show emphasizes – but it still takes work.
Tiffeny says
Thanks for all your hard work – I sure do appreciate it Kelly – and I sure am glad you keep things in perspective unlike some of the “Extreme Couponers”!
