Have you ever been the subject of a Pintrest Fail?

I have. It’s not pretty.

You find what looks like a great project. You buy all the supplies. You spend what seems like hours on said creation – only to have it fail. Like, fail on an epic level. Right? My Pintrest fail was a Pretzel Log Cabin. Cuter than a gingerbread house and supposedly easier. Wrong.

So, the bottom line when it comes to Pintrest (and avoiding the epic fail) is to consider your source. Don’t waste your time and money anymore on projects that don’t work. If a friend has actually made it and repinned it, try it. But don’t be the guinea pig.

    A couple of the recipes I have tried haven’t really turned out, but I haven’t really tried anything too ambitious like making a coffee table or anything. I do love the dawn and vinegar shower cleaner, though!:)

    I haven’t personally had a Pinterest fail, but my mom made a “15 minute maxi dress” that took four hours and looked awful. 🙂

    I just started on Pinterest, but had lots of fun ideas for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party with a Seseme Street theme! I made some awesome character banners for decorations, along with a cute “Count with the Count” board… she woke up that morning running around looking at everything saying “wow….cool…”

    I myself had a Pintrest Fail! I tried to make a super cute no-sew tree skirt (sounds like you can’t mess it up right? -WRONG) I ended up with a heap of fabric and globs of hot glue everywhere!

    I don’t have one, but my friend made glitter bottles for time out … and instead of taking 2 minutes to settle, they took 10-15 min! Fail! 🙂

    I made the worst crockpot meal! Sounded good…chicken, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, onions and carrots…turned into MUSH! Maybe I left it in there too long?? Hmmm, I will never know because I will never try again!!

    I found what I thought to be an amazing brownie recipe on Pinterest, and spent a gazillion dollars on expensive white chocolate and they tasted terrible!
