This week our family went back to school.
DD is in 1st Grade.
DS is in 4th Grade.
Hubs makes lunches for both.
Having our kids do well and like school is important to Hubs and I.
I firmly believe having a “desire” to learn, to read, to explore and to apply yourself means success in the years to come.
But, let’s be honest. School is hard. Subjects can be challenging. Kids can be mean. Teachers can not understand. And sometimes you just need a reminder there is a safe place called “home” you can land if your day is less than “Awesome.”
And Hallmark “gets” that kids need this reassurance.
They have created two different products to help kids feel that love and reassurance.
First is the Hallmark’s Back-to-School Care Package. It includes:
- A pack of Hallmark’s Kids Collection greeting cards, which feature both inspirational cards as well as any-day cards featuring Justin Bieber.
- Lunchbox Notes, which offer 50 ways for you to add a little love to lunchtime.
- And Bug’Em, a pint-sized plush that can hold cards and other tokens of encouragement and give an unexpected lift to your kiddos day.
Second, is Nugget the Dog Interactive Story Buddy and his book First Day of School. The story chronicles Nugget’s first day of dog school, from the nerves beforehand to all the new puppy pals he makes during the day, and his excitement to return. (And the interactive story allows Nugget to reply aloud to key phrases in the book.)
And because Hallmark loves sharing the “love”, they are giving away either a Back-To-School Care Package or Nugget the Dog Interactive Story Buddy to one lucky KCM reader.
Here’s How To Enter The Giveaway
(Remember, each comment is considered a entry – so leave a separate comment each time.)
Leave me a comment with the words or phrases you use to encourage your kids. (Ex. God made everyone unique and your gift is singing.)
Additional entry: Become a email subscriber to Kansas City Mamas. (I promise, I won’t spam you.) And then leave a comment and let me know.
Additional entry: Become in Like with Kansas City Mamas on Facebook. (We have fun, I promise.) And then leave a comment and let me know.
Contest will be open till end of day on August 22, 2012. Winner will be notified by email and has 48-hours to respond before another winner is chosen. Good Luck.
Disclosure: Hallmark provided the giveaway prize and items for the review, but I was not compensated in any other way. The written remarks are entirely my own. Want more information – check out my full disclosure statement.
