If you read the special Food Section in the KC Star called “Edge City” a couple of weeks ago, you may have noticed a listing of the “famous KC folks” who are cookbook authors. Two of those listed were Roxanne Wyss and Kathy Moore, who are super-dooper talented cooks, authors, teachers – and my friends.

Their new cookbook is called 175 Best Babycakes Cake Pop Maker Recipes. It gives tips, tricks, and suggestions to making amazing sweet, savory, and special cake pops with the Babycakes 12 Cake Pop Maker.

And while you may be thinking, “Do I really need ANOTHER cookbook or ANOTHER appliance?” Let me just tell you that both of those thoughts were going through my brain BEFORE I tried it out. (Kathy and Roxanne were nice enough to give me the hookup.)

Now, I’m just addicted to making their sour cream doughnuts…. Oh. My. Word. Deliciousness. I. Can. Make. From. Home.

And I plan on giving the cookbook and Babycakes maker to all of the summer weddings I’m attending. (So there you go, Sharon.)

    I can’t live without my mixer. I use it for baking mainly but also for shredding chicken and other food prepping.

    I couldn’t live without my electric skillet. I use it daily – for just about everything. I love it for deep frying, eggs, pancakes, slow-cooking recipes….not kidding, just about everything!

    I would love to get my hands on this cookbook (I got a maker for Christmas and still haven’t opened it yet). I really can’t live without my garlic press, but in case that is not considered an appliance I would have to say it is a tie between my kitchen aide stand mixer or my magic bullet. The kids and I love a good smoothie and the bullet is perfect for it (used at least 4 times a week) and I love to bake and cook with my kids so my mixer is a must. My DD (6) loves to help me when I am whipping up a cake for some cake pops. You can see some I’ve done on my crafting blog.

    I can’t live without my Kitchen Aid mixer. I do everything in it from homemade whip cream to bread doughs. The best attachment, however, is the ice cream maker. I love this appliance.

    I couldn’t get along without my toaster: from frozen waffles for the kids in the morning, to toasting an English muffin for a snack, to reheating pancakes made over the weekend, it’s my go-to appliance!

    I can’t live with out my Kitchen Aide Mixer. My husband thought it was extravagant, but he even agrees it is the most utilized appliance in our kitchen. We make everything from bread, cookies, pizza dough, pretzels, and more with it.

    I cannot live with out my KitchenAide mixer. We use that multiple times a week. Oh – and my toaster. I guess I use that everyday, but its much less exciting. (Though, I really couldn’t live without toast.)

    I MUST have my coffeemaker. I have tried tea, cokes, anything to wake me up, but it has to be coffee, it has to be ready when I wake up-I program it the night before, and it has to turn off automatically and have a stainless steel pot that will keep it warm just a little bit longer.
    I can just imagine having that hot coffee with some cake pops!! YUM…….

    I love my toaster oven – it is great to make toast or bake a smaller portion of something with out using the oven.

    Mine is the in cup smoothie maker. It’s so easy to use and I don’t have to drag a bunch of stuff out. The kids want something a little different to drink and all it take is yogurt,milk and a minute of blending.
