I’m doing a lot of traveling this summer, which means there is a potential for beauty emergencies. With these 6 Beauty Hacks That You Must Use on Your Next Trip, not only will you have a less-stressed vacation, you’ll pack less stuff and look great while site-seeing.
6 Beauty Hacks You Need To Use On Your Next Trip
1. Eye Cream in a Contact Case
Remember the DIY Homemade Anti Aging Eye Cream we made awhile back? Well, when you make your next batch, be sure to pour some into an empty contact case that you can take on trips. This eye cream not only helps moisturize and get rid of wrinkles (a little dab will do ya), it also does double duty as an eye make-up remover.
2. Binder Clip Razor Cover
How many times have you thrown a disposable razor into your travel bag, reach in to grab it and cut your hand because the tiny plastic cover over the sharp blades has fallen off during travel? To stop injuring yourself unnecessarily, take a binder clip and clip it over the end of your razor. It will stay put while you travel and won’t draw blood each time you try to find your chapstick.
3. Hand Lotion to Calm Frizzies
It’s been a long flight, bus ride or car ride. After hours of travel, your hair looks like you stuck your finger in a socket. No worries. Just pull out your travel size bottle of hand lotion. Rub some lotion onto your hands and gently pat your hair with your hands. The hand lotion acts as hair serum to calm those dry frizzes down.
4. Drinking Straw Necklace Holder
There is nothing worse than arriving at your destination only to have your dainty necklaces in a tangled mess. To keep them de-tangled, unclasp each necklace, thread through a drinking straw then re-clasp. Roll your necklaces-on-a-straw in a scarf or t-shirt and pack in your bag.
5. Toothpaste Vacation Pimple Cream
It is inevitable, people on vacation tend to get vacation pimples because of the change in weather, food, lack of sleep and hydration. No need to pack your pimple cream, just use a small dab of toothpaste. The toothpaste helps dry up the pimple faster so you can concentrate on your tan.
6. Plastic Wrapped Travel Bottles
This has happened to all of us. You unpack your luggage after a long flight only to have had your liquids explode in your cosmetic bag. To stop the explosion, cut off a square of plastic wrap and place over the opening of your travel bottle before you screw on the lid. This will add an extra layer of protection and save the inside of your bag. (I’m also a fan of packing everything in a ziploc too.)
