Welcome to the new and improved Kansas City Mamas!
The blog has been switched over the WordPress Thesis. And with that change comes a bunch of great additions and add-ons that should make the site easier to navigate and more user friendly for you.
New features include a drop-down navigation bar, print capabilities on every post (so you can take the list or recipe to the grocery store with you), easy access to coupons, and much, much more.
Since we are going from one platform to another, there may be some things that are WONKY for the first few days. Links that may or may not work, formatting that looks weird, or other various things. If you find something that is really WONKY, please tell me in a comment or email me. Also, I’ll be learning as I go, so it may take me awhile too.
Finally, I’d like to thank Hubs and my designer, Sharon. They were both patient with me when I was freaking out and they both encouraged me to make this the best product possible. So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. And if you are a blogger who is looking for a reasonable designer, Sharon is great.
So, take a moment, and cruise around. I’d love to know what you think.

Love the new blog! Well I loved the old one but this seems to be a great change! While occasionally I have to miss out due to living in California (I especially miss Hy-Vee!), I have gotten more freebies and great deals than I could have imagined! We are getting ready to buy our 1st home, getting married this fall, and will start a family in the next few years, and your blog has helped provide a good foundation for us to have a money-smart household! 🙂
Thank you!

Looks awesome! Just this week I started contemplating a switch to WordPress as well!

Helen – my only word of caution is to not do it alone. Sharon is awesome at helping you make the move. She’ll convert you from blogger to wordpress for FREE when you decide to self-host. If you want more details, shoot me an email.

Nice design! It looks really great!

Yeah! I can see it… looks wonderful. (wink, wink!)

I like it a lot! I also like that a new tab no longer opens every time I click on a category or on the previous posts link at the bottom of each page. I think you’ll like DreamHost and WordPress a lot.
Kelly says
Thanks Cristina. I’m still learning, but I like the look so much better that it is worth the learning curve.

I’m trying to find a green smoothie recipe I found on Pinterest. How Do I go about retrieving it?
