There is a new machine at the front of Walmart. If you check in via Face book it is supposed to give you a 2 pack sample. Give it a try, it is a vending machine. It did not work for me.

I’ve had issues with Wal-Mart in accepting the coupons for the travel size packs of anything. I tried to use the $0.35 off any Tide product on the little travel size Tide detergents. There were no exclusions stated on the coupon, I checked. When I got to the register and handed my coupons over for the Tide, the register beeped and wouldn’t take the coupons automatically. She looked at the coupons and said that I could not use them on the travel size packs, that Wal-Mart would not accept them. I explained to her that it should be okay because there were NO written exclusions on the coupon and that Wal-Mart would get the money back regardless. She wouldn’t budge.
I have another issue a few months back when I had some of the coupons for the Duncan Hines cake mixes. It was purchase 2 of the regular mixes and then get the Premium mix for free. I was going to use two of these to stock up on mixes I used for doctored cakes I make for work when I want to bring a quick dessert. She said that I couldn’t use those either, that Wal-Mart, again would not do ‘FREE’ items. I was pretty irritated by this point and had a line behind me. So I didn’t argue, but I did take the coupons to Customer Service and told the girl what happened. Even she was rolling her eyes at the fact the cashier had given me such trouble. I got my money back, thank goodness. And don’t get me wrong, I’m EXTREMELY polite to cashiers and anyone providing a service to the public. My mother raised me to be so (we are German, so discipline inside my home was a little ‘different’ than it is for most American children–I was VERY respectful!), and I’ve had service jobs my entire life…so trust me, I know how it is to get snooty, finicky women who want to nit-pick everything to death. So this definitely was not the case with me.
Quite honestly, I think cashiers at some places are getting tired of the coupon craze and starting to make it more difficult at times. I’m having the issue now where the cashiers are going back through all my bags to double-check and make sure purchased the proper size of a product so that it qualified for the coupon, even the though the coupon scans through just fine. I understand not wanting to get in trouble over some coupons…believe me, I do. But it’s embarrassing for me when I’ve people behind me in line, eyeballing me because I’m holding things up. Sorry for the rant, haha. :-0
