In our household, this Triple Berry Protein Smoothie Recipe is also known as the “gateway” smoothie.
You know what I mean, right? A smoothie that tastes like dessert, but actually is super charged with vitamins. A smoothie that tastes so good that your “I hate smoothie” family members are asking for another.
This is just the first step, pretty soon they will be asking for a basic green smoothie.
In all seriousness, I love this smoothie because it appeals to so many people. And frankly, when we started doing fruit smoothies as a family, it was one of the only ones my kids would drink without being like “GROSS, it’s GREEN”.
But little did they know that it is packed full with a triple dose of protein (nut butter, protein powder, and flaxseed) – to keep them full and triple dose of flavonoids (blueberry, cherry and strawberry) that thwart the production of free radicals and keep their immune system up.
Because who doesn’t want a gateway to better health?
(On a side note, most people I know complain about how expensive smoothies and juicing can get. For, me I’ve used an organic delivery system for years that is affordable and convenient. Using Door to Door Organics helps me stay on track with smoothies and juicing. In fact, they have a Smoothie and Juice in a Box, so you can make your own at home. Plus, I have an exclusive Door To Door Coupon Code to get almost 50% off your first box.)
