OMGoodness.
I know I talk about wine every week and with all honesty, I love each wine that write about.
However, the 2007 Sean Minor Four Bears Cabernet goes above love. It’s amazing. And frankly worth two to three times its small $13.99 price.
Here’s why.
1. It’s a Cabernet from Napa that is under $15.00.
2. It received 87 points from Wine Spectator.
3. It has one of the best noses and finishes I’ve ever had. The new oak smells divine and leaves a lingering finish that is just plain “yummy”.
4. It has the right amount of tannins. So your mouth doesn’t feel like it ate sandpaper, but at the same time you get a very rich mouth “feel” when you drink it.
5. It has enough tannins to support buying a case (or two – like me) of this wine to have on hand and drink over the next year.
6. The winemaker, Sean Minor, grew up in Overland Park.
This wine is amazing.
I promise…if you are red drinker who loves a good Cabernet, you will not be disappointed..
In fact, you may be emailing me about your new found addiction and how it is eating into your grocery budget.
Don’t forget to use the Thirsty Thursday Wine List when creating your wine shopping list.
Note: This wine should be available at most liquor outlets. Please be responsible when you drink wine – and never drive drunk…seriously, that is just stupid in this day in age.
What about you? Have you tried a new wine or spirit and want to share? Leave a comment or link up – because life is too short to drink bad wine.

I am currently 9,000 months pregnant but I’m putting this one on my list! Your description made me salivate a little. I have missed wine!
Have you ever taken a min-vacation to Hermann? If you’re into wine I assume you have 🙂 My husband and I were engaged there, and return to Hermann Hill for our anniversary most years.

Dawn – I feel your pain. The first time I went to wine country I was breastfeeding. Talk about “grouchy mommy” aka “designated driver”.
And I’ve never been to Hermann. {Shock}. It’s been on the list for awhile.

Oh, lord…you MUST get out there. It’s pricey but stay at Hermann Hill (you can make it a lot cheaper by going on a Sunday/Monday instead of a Friday/Saturday. I recommend the cottages over the actual B&B – much more private and remote. It’s a great little weekend vacation for $600 or less (we always ask for gift certs for Christmas, heh) The wine is great. My favorite winery out there is Adam Puchta.
If you’re into camping, go during Oktoberfest and camp in the city park, it’s a blast if you like a party atmosphere.
http://www.hermannhill.com – I don’t work there, I just love the place

I love a Lambiq. I know it isn’t wine, but it’s cheap and it’s delicious. Get mine at Hyvee for around ten bucks. 🙂

Sounds wonderful Kelly! I love red wine so I will keep my eye out for this!
