With all of the Deal of the Day sites available – Groupon, Eversave, Beyond The Rack, etc. – it can be hard to distinguish one from another or even really care about one unless the deal is good.
So when I got asked to review Roozt.com, I thought “Great, another deal site. Whatever.” Turns out this one is different.
First, Roozt is the only daily-deal site that I know of that deals EXCLUSIVELY in socially responsible products and manufacturers. That means companies are committed to being Humanitarian, Community Conscious, Ethical, and/or Eco-Friendly.
Second, Roozt donates $.10 to the charity of your choice when you sign up and then 1% of your purchases to charity after that. While that doesn’t seem like a lot, it adds up fast, and makes a difference to these charities who are worthwhile and not necessarily the top of radar screen. (NFTE, The Tiziano Project, Communities For A Better Environment, Ninth Ward Field of Dreams – my favorite, Chase Foundation, A Better LA, First Place For Youth, Ability First, The Pachamama Alliance and Women 4 Women International.)
Finally, Roozt is a national deal-site. So you are able to take advantage of most of the deals regardless of where you live. Check out some of these cool and eco-friendly products that I bet make it to the daily deal. Also, by signing up, you get access to FREE members-only giveaways and contests.
So what’s even cooler than all of that – they haven’t even launched yet! There official launch is September 7 – but they thought we’d be interested in getting in on the ground floor.
So sign up. (Pick a separate email account if you want to.)
Even if you aren’t into the deal of the day thing – you will be able to contribute to charity for giving your email address. And if you find you don’t like the deals – you can always unsubscribe.
But I think Roozt might be really different and really cool.
