This week is the Couponing for Community food drive. Myself and hundreds of bloggers across the country have committed to donating part of our stockpile to charity.
The goal is to have couponers, just like you, donate over 10,000 items to local charities.
You can follow the overall progress on the Couponing For Community Facebook Page – as well as enter your own donation.
Here are some highlights for the week:
- I’ll be putting an extra emphasis on (CHARITY) items this week in the coupon matchups. I’ll also put together a couple of $5 out-of-pocket scenarios, so that you can get the most out of your coupons and cash.
- I get questions all the time about “Where Can I Donate?” So I’m opening up Facebook this week. If you know of a specific charity or organization that needs donations, please post it on the Kansas City Mamas Facebook Page. Include the need and address.
- I’ll post a picture of my final donation at the end of the week. But I also encourage you to send me a picture of your donation. I’ll include all photos in a recap and post on the Couponing For Community Facebook Page on Saturday.
- Remember, you can always leave your donation near your mailbox on May 14. Your letter carrier will pick up the donation and deliver it to a local food bank of charity.
Can’t wait to see what you all donate this week. It’s gonna be awesome.
