I love to entertain.
In fact, in the next two weeks, I will have entertained at my house three times.
And I ever get stressed.
Why? Besides following these Entertaining Stress Free Rules, I also have a few secrets.
- Invest in white dinner plates and serving pieces. They can be dressed down or up with ease.
- Spend money on your decorations. A nice bouquet is an instant mood lifter.
- Make the food easy. Most of the time people just want to have a good beverage and talk with friends. Finger foods lets them do both with ease.
- Remember to say something HEARTFELT and AMAZING when your guests arrive and when they leave. It is what they will remember – not whether or not you chatted with them about the recent election.
And on a completely different note…I’m in love with these dessert plates and tumblers for only $2.95 each on Crate & Barrel. (Plus you get back 3% from Ebates.)
So that made me wonder…
What tips do you have to host a holiday party for less?
This is a conversation we’re having in the Ebates Savvy Living Community. I’m a Community Leader there and I love that we can weigh in about all sorts of crazy things (like cooking, shopping, parenting, fashion, cooking, Adam Levine and more.) I’d love to have you join me there and you can actually chime in from right here on Kansas City Mamas. I’ve embedded this conversation below.
If you’re not familiar with Ebates, you’ll want to check it out. You receive cash back when you shop online. So it is like getting a discount – and who doesn’t like saving a few extra dollars especially around the holiday season.
Disclosure: I have been compensated for my role as Community Leader in the Ebates Savvy Living Community. However, all opinions are my own.
