What better time for a giveaway that when I’m away?
Can you believe the Hen House Holiday Celebration is just four months away – where did this year go? This year’s Hen House Holiday Celebration will be held on November 5 – 7, 2010 at the Overland Park Convention Center. And in true “the second year is always better” form – there will be close to 70 vendors at this year’s event vs. 58 last year. That’s another 12 booths of fun, food, giveaways, and coupons!
Here is a sampling of the companies that will be there – Frito Lay, Red Gold Tomatoes, McCormick/Zatarain, Campbell’s Soup, Hershey Chocolate, Pepsi Products, Johnsonville Sausage, Smart Chicken, Certified Hereford Beef, Earthbound Farms, Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg’s/Kashi, Sweet Baby Rays/Ken’s Salad Dressings, The Roasterie, Dannon Yogurt, Indigo Wild, Dole Salads, Farm to Market Bread, Blue Bell Creameries, Roberts Dairy, Melissa’s World Variety, Marzetti, HC Brill Frostings, Boar’s Head, Borden/Plugra Butter, Kraft Foods, A & E, Belfonte, and Coca Cola.
So what could be better than to give away a pair of tickets to the event? There are four ways to enter – leave a separate comment for each entry (it helps increase your chances of winning).
Giveaway Rules
1. Leave a comment about how long you think it will take you to go through all the booths. (Ex. 3-hours with kids, 5-hours if I’m by myself.)

3. Become a Fan of Kansas City Mamas on Facebook and then leave ANOTHER comment. If you are already a FAN, leave ANOTHER comment letting us know.
4. Suggest Kansas City Mamas to your friends on Facebook. All you have to do is click the box “Suggest To Friends” under the OLD icon box. After you have suggested to friends, leave ANOTHER comment letting us know.
A comment will be picked at random at end of day on Monday, July 12. Good luck!
my hubby and i would love to go to this together! if how long it takes for the pair of us to do our grocery shopping together is any indication, we will spend all day at this! we love to stop and look at everything!
i’m already a fan on facebook!
and now i subscribe to your emails!
can we shop by store anymore on your site or do we have to go through all the pages looking?
Monica – Go to Store Deals at the top of the page and scroll down. You can choose each store you are interested in viewing. HTH.
I would hope if the 4 kids came along I could get my DH to tag along so I could browse more. Or if he keeps them at home I can take several hours of me time and enjoy each booth.
I subscribe to your emails.
Probably take 3-4 hours to look and enjoy!
It should take me 1.5 hours with my kiddo and 3 hours by myself. If I have snacks for her and let her run around, maybe she’d last 2… but I doubt it. 🙂
I already subscribe to your e-mails. I love your site!!! Thank you!
I have no idea how long it would take. I’ve never been but plan on going this year even if I don’t win tickers. I do I’ll spend longer without my boys. 4 hours maybe?
I’m a fan on facebook!
I also get the daily e-mails!
I have never been to the Hen House Holiday Celebration so I wouldn’t know how long it would take me to go through it but I would like find out!!
6 hours? I have no idea.
I think I could spend quite a bit of time there. Lots of samples and lots of coupons=GOOD TIMES!
With 70 vendors it might take me a whole day to get through it all!
I get your daily emails and I love them 🙂
I “like” you on facebook
I’m sure we will go as a family again. The kids loved it last year. I would say it will take just under 3 hours.

I’ve never been to the holiday celebration, so I really have no idea how long it will take me. I will probably go with a friend, and anticipate that maybe it will take us 3-4 hours to make our rounds. I’m excited to hear about this and hopefully win tickets!
I’m a fan on fb! 🙂
I’d love to go with a friend and have it take several hours…maybe 4.
I currently receive your emails. 🙂
This sounds like so much fun! I honestly have no idea how long it would take me to get through. I plan on taking my sister who got me started with couponing. We might just be able to spend all day there!

I just subscribed to your e-mails!
I think it will take me 4 hours to get through the Hen House event. I have been a fan of Kansas City Mamas on Facebook for several months! You guys rock! You have saved me so much money, and I love telling my friends about you! I just signed up for your email updates today! Thanks for all of your great advice! Keep up the great work.
My wife and I went last year. We had to hurry because we needed to catch a plane that morning. We spent about two hours, which wasn’t enough time to get to all the vendors, and we almost missed our flight. I would guess 4 hours would be about what we will spend this year.
I am now subscribed to your emails.
I’d take my son as he loves food as much as I do! It would probably take us 3 hrs.

I suggested your website to several friends.
I heard about his last year and was very new to couponing so didn’t understand it….but now I do! I would love to go and take my best friend (we never seem to get time without a million kids!)lol! We might only be there 4 hours….but we would probably tell hubbies it would take all day so we could sit and drink a soda in peace and have adult conversations! lol!
I think it will be more a matter of how long I will be allowed to get away. Last year I took my daughter and she had a great time sampling everything with me. I would guess it would take us about 3-4 hours.
I subscribe to your emails.
I didn’t have a chance to attend last year, but I’m guessing at least 3 hours to check out everything!
I already subscribe!

I think it will take a good 6 hours. As long as hubby has the kids might as well really make my time worth it.
I’d think I’d go through the whole event in about 2 hours.

I have not been to this event before but it sounds really fun! I would love to go! Thanks!!
We’ll go as a family and I’m sure it will take us at least 3 hours to go through!

I have suggested that several friends become fans on Facebook!
Last year it took about 2 hours. I went Friday afternoon without kids so it was pretty easy to move from booth to booth.
I subscribe and I love getting your emails!
I already subscribe and rely on your blog for deals and also appreciate the tips you write about. Thanks!
I am doing these in the wrong order, sorry! I think it will take me 3-4 hours to go through all the booths. I will probably stretch it as much as possible to enjoy the time without any other responsibilities, just feeding my crazy coupon addiction. I am also hoping it will encourage me to shop more often at Hen House. Seems like it is always my third choice for some reason. I need to get on the Hen House bandwagon!
Oops, I became a fan FINALLY, but my husband was logged into his Facebook account on our computer the first time I hit the button. SOOOO, now we are both fans! This could be good for him :o).
I invited some of my friends who I think would love to learn more about couponing.
I’m a fan on Facebook!
I think it will take me about 2-1/2 hours with the kids and my husband – there’s so many good samples to try!
