I love Cover Girl, Cascade, Downy, Tide, and Olay.

I love that there is a SERIOUS science behind their products.

Like, for example, did you know that Tide encapsulates chlorine? That’s why clothes in “city water” don’t fade as fast when you use Tide? 

So when the good folks of P&G asked me to try out Tide Free Laundry Detergent – you knew I would say yes, right?

I will admit to our family not having any issues with dyes or perfumes. In fact if truth be told, I actually really LOVE having my laundry have those “just washed” scents out of the dryer.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I didn’t miss the extra “smells”. My laundry still smelled “fresh” but not perfumery. And as I thought about it, there are certain clothes that probably shouldn’t have any extra scent attached to them.

    I am a scent person. Love the way our clothes smell after being washed with Tide! Especially after a softball or volleyball game.

    E-mail subscriber. Saw you on Channel 41 today! You were great. I ran right to my coffee filters and used them on the car windows with Windex. There were no smears, much better than paper towels and less mess than using newspapers.

    I’m trying not to be a scent person with detergent and just getting my scent from the Downy in the dryer.

    Spouse has big time skin rashey problem. I know lots of people who have skin problems with tide. It must be a genetic thing because so many people in my family and my husbands family get the detergent rash. We use unscented. Is this a sample or the real full size bottle? Do they have samples of this free and clear tide in smaller sizes? I didn’t even know they made hypoallergenic tide. My dermatologist says tide is has made him rich, because so many people are allergic and they have no idea.

    I LOVE this detergent! I used to be all about the “fresh” scent (Tide Cool Mountain Breeze or something like that), but since my baby seems to have extra sensitive skin, I switched to Tide Free. I don’t miss the scent at all!

    I love having my laundry smelling clean. But I agree with you that some clothes shouldn’t have a scent, so I go both ways.

    We don’t have any smell or perfume issues in our house, but just because I want to keep it that way I usually buy scent-free detergents.

    I love scents, but the Tide Free & Gentle is fabulous! Worth giving up the perfumes for, definitely!

    I like scent in MY clothes, but I have a son with eczema and have to be careful of how I do his wash or it does a number on his skin. That certainly makes doing laundry a challenge. 🙂

    I prefer my clothing to have a scent. If it doesn’t I feel like my clothes are completly finished. I will buy the good stuff or cheap. I just want a nice scent.

    I like sented, but my husband doesn’t — so I use both, depending on what I’m washing in that particular load.

    No perfumes. We have baby skin around the house & some weird allergies so we play it safe & everyone is scent/perfume free 🙂

    I like Tide with Bleach Alternative original scent for the most part. I have never tried the Tide Free but I would like to. This would be a great opportunity to try it.

    I like certain things smelling good, namely my sheets and towels. I use the perfume free detergents and then wash my towels and sheets with the Unstoppables for a long lasting smell. My skin is a little sensitive, so this gives me the best of both worlds 🙂

    No scent for us seems like somebody different has issues with different brands. Tide is normally the go to brand that does the least amount of damage!!

    I love the “fresh clean laundry” smell – whether thats scented or non-scented depends on the brand!

    Scent, because my wife makes me!!!! It doesn’t really matter to me, but she likes it better for the towels.

    No scent…if I do want scent, I dry stuff on the clothes line (mostly sheets). That’s she best smell ever. :o)

    I am a no-scent girl myself! But, my kids can identify people by the laundry scent! One time I used regular Tide and my son said it reminded him of his Grandfather. 🙂

    I do like a nice fresh scent, whether Tide, Xtra , or another brand, but have started using more free and clear since my daughter has been born. But, she doesn’t seem to have super sensitive skin, which is nice!

    I love Tide with Downey, it is my favorite! Love that smell when I get a shirt from the drawer and put it on and “ummmmm” it smells sooooo good!
