In my “Makeup For Less” segment on Kansas City Live, I talked about the benefits of sample box programs, like Glossybox.

Here is the CLIF notes version of a sample box program. For a set price every month (usually $20 or under), you receive a “box” filled with five to seven travel or full sized samples of various products that you would find at a department store or Sephora.

It’s an eclectic mix of products and in the past I’ve receive makeup remover, hair care products, full size lipsticks and fingernail polish, perfume and more.

Since I am an makeup and skincare experimenter, I love sample boxes because they give a ton of new products to test out. And usually more often than not, I find I fall in love with one of their samples.

    I love makeup. I love loreal mascaras, I love love carbon black telescopic. I also use an eyelash curler. I am very pale and love to expiriment with makeup. I have many many kinds of foundations. I play around with sunscreen and believe in preventing freckles. I still have tons of freckles and hate them. Can’t live without mascara and skincare.

    Unlike many women, I actually really like makeup but it’s not a must to walking out the door. I’m a mom of a 2 year old for heaven’s sake and sometimes it’s just easier without. However, I feel great in it, so when I do, it’s concealer all the way for not going without – dark circles … ERASED!
