If you are stuck on a Father’s Day idea, can I just suggest a FREE subscription to Netflix.
Here’s why.
It isn’t the “movies delivered to your mailbox” that gets me excited about Netflix – it is the instant video streaming (which can be done through your Roku Player, Wii, XBox or PS3).
Netflix has the biggest, baddest list of movies, tv shows, documentaries, 80s cartoons (She-Ra & He-Man, anyone) of instant videos anywhere.
And that HUGE list of videos-on-demand is all included in your monthly subscription.
Even better is when you have a smart phone or iPhone and you can download the Netflix app (for free) and video stream to your phone.
Can I just tell you how much better the time passes when your munchkin can watch Dora or SpongeBob while waiting in the doctor’s office? And if you hubby travels – he can stream in the airports, so he has something to do during delays.
And what is so amazing to me – is that this is all included in the $10.00 monthly fee!
(And did I mention that Netflix remembers everything – what you watched, what episode you were on, what other shows you might like to see….)
Okay, so you might not be quite sold yet? I get it.
Then be frugal and sign up for the one-month FREE Netflix subscription. If your hubby doesn’t fall in love with Netflix (and decide to get rid of cable because there are so many things to watch on Netflix) – you can cancel and you aren’t out anything.
But on the chance you fall in love – I’m thinking about creating an “I HEART NETFLIX” bumper sticker. Let me know if you are interested.
Let me just disclose that I’m not being “paid” for this little “this system rocks” testimonial. Hubs was initial leery of Netflix when I signed us up for the FREE trial. But now, you’d be lucky to pry the Roku remote from his cold, dead hand. Your hubby will love it – I promise you.

Dont forget you can stream through your laptop/desktop too! My hubby uses this method when he travels and is bored in his hotel room!

We just signed up and I was very excited that there was a Netflix app on my iPhone!
