I’ve heard of this, but never actually tried it.. and then when I deo go through my closet, it is often a guessing game as to “will I wear it?” or “should i donate it?” I guess I should try it!
Once thing I do to organize my closet is organize by type of clothes… so, all sweaters together, all t-shirts/casual shirts, all nice dress shirts, all skirts, all pants, and jackets. That way, I know better of what I have for different occasions and such — and is easier to find exactly what I want.
