I absolutely dig aquariums. So, it was super exciting to me when Kansas City got a world-class aquarium in SEA LIFE Kansas City. We have made sort of a family tradition of going to SEA LIFE and are never disappointed. There are new things each time we go, like the Claws exhibit, the sea turtles, and of course, the ever popular shark tank.

And then I heard about Sharks After Dark. And lo, I think I love this Aquarium even more.

Sharks After Dark is an adults ONLY event held the third Monday of each month from 7-9PM. It is chance to experience SEA LIFE in a way you don’t normally get to, you know, without tripping over your little ones.  I love the idea of an activity-oriented date night too. Shared activities are a great way to bond and definitely shakes up the mix of typical dinner-and-a-movie nights out.

    I have fond memories of going to Shedd’s Aquarium in Chicago when I was a kid and have always loved aquariums.

    An aquarium is a place where you can relax and decompress. The animals and sea life swim effortlessly. It’s very peaceful and calming to just watch them.

    I love going to aquariums! I grew up in Chicago and went to the Shedd aquarium often. I always love to sit and watch the fish and learn about their habitats. I have been to several aquariums around the US, but haven’t been to Sea Life yet.
