Giveaway: Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Trays & LED Whitening Pen

I turn 40 this year.

And while my teeth are in good shape (relative cavity speaking), they are pretty stained from my daily wine and coffee habit. Most of the time, I usually don’t let this bother me, but for some reason, as this birthday approaches I’ve been bitten with the bug to get my teeth whitened.

I’ve tried Crest White Strips before and while they do an “okay” job, the strips are never big enough to do my entire mouth and it is a pain (and expensive) to have four to six strips for each application. I contemplated a “professional” doctor’s office visit, but that is REALLY expensive and requires time in an office I don’t have.

So when the folks at Smile Brilliant approached me about trying their product, I was game.

The biggest different between Smile Brilliant and over the counter is a) custom fitted teeth whitening trays that are molded to your mouth and b) professional grade bleach product and c) you don’t have to go to the dentist to do it.

So first, the custom fitted teeth whitening trays. In the mail, I received “magic model putty” to create a custom mold of my mouth. At first, the blue model putty freaked me out, but after following the easy instructions, I was able to make a mold without any issues.

Then I sent my molds back to Smile Brilliant in a postage paid envelope. Those molds will then be used to create my custom fitted teeth whitening trays. The communication was great. Smile Brilliant emailed me to let me know when they had received the molds and when they were shipping out my trays.

Finally, I received my trays and bleach product, and could start the teeth whitening. The gel-bleach applicator is very to use and trays fit perfectly and were very comfortable. It did take a few sessions for me to get used to the bleach product – I guess I have sensitive teeth – but the good news is that you can wear the trays for as little as 15 minutes up to three hours and still get results.

Final verdict, my teeth aren’t as white as a Hollywood celebrity, but they have shown a difference. The process was super easy and the molds fit so nicely, that I most likely will use them again. (Because goodness knows I can’t give up my wine and coffee habit.)
