Today on KC LIve I talked about Healthy Indulgent Snacks that won’t break the bank.
All of the snacks featured today are 150 calories per serving or under.
International Delight Light Iced Coffee
Iced coffee from a coffee house is EXPENSIVE and it is FULL of calories. International Delight has a new Light Iced Coffee Beverage available that is under 100 calories per serving and super tasty. While I do enjoy putting an extra shot of coffee in mine – the taste is on par with what you will find in local coffee shops. (And try the Caramel Macchiato – yummo.) So convenient, less expensive, and great quality.
Driscoll’s Berries
I love chocolate. I love berries. Berries are in season right now, so we are seeing sales almost every week. Pick up a package of Driscol Berries, melt some semi-sweet or dark chocolate and create a treat that is less than 150 calories and full of great antioxidants.
Saffron Road Dried Chickpeas
Did you know that Chickpeas are an AWESOME source of protein? And you can eat them dried? Saffron Road has a line of Crunchy Chickpeas that is out of this world. Get all the satisfaction of salty and crunchy with a dose of protein. (Which is so much more filling than crummy potato chips?) Saffron Road is available at Whole Foods.
Vitacost
Vitacost is my online go-to for any “healthy” purchase. In most cases, you’ll pay 30 – 40% less than grocery store chain retail for the exact same item. And they just came out with a Natural Product Sample Box program…choose from Be Well. Be Fit. or Be Pretty. (I know which one I’m signing up for…)
And if you missed the program today, you can watch it all here.
And if you want information like this in your mailbox everyday – make sure to sign up the FREE Kansas City Mamas Email Newsletter.
Liked the jewelry I was wearing today? It’s Stella & Dot. Check out their awesome selection. It’s my go-to source for statement necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.

Do you know when vitacost will have the sample boxes avaliable again?
Kelly Snyder says
I’m not for sure, but believe it should be tomorrow (beginning of the month.)
