It’s been a hard week for the Snyders.
DD started kindergarten this week.
She was ready. I was ready. She was excited to make friends. I was excited to get some work done.
And then on the first day, she fell off the monkey bars, got the wind knocked out of her and ended up in the nurse’s office.
She was in tears when I picked her up.
The next day, she was in tears again. This time because she didn’t understand why she only stayed for half-day when her friends stayed for a full day.
And I’m not feeling very confident that today will be any better.
And if she could read, I would send her this card in her backpack. Because even if it didn’t make her feel any better (but I’m pretty sure it would), it would make ME feel better.
And five lucky winners will receive their own Hallmark Kid’s Card (5 cards) and Lunchbox Note Prize Packs to make their little ones feel loved as they go back-to-school

Worst day of school EVER! Was when I was in the 2nd grade and I had an accident in the bathroom (#2). I had to tell one of the other kids to get my teacher who in turn called my mother who brought me a new pair of pants. I had on jeans but she brought tan cords, which I will never forget. I hid in the bathroom until my mom got there. By the time I was dressed, my classmates were at recess and when I went out there, they made so much fun of me! It was the worst memory I have from school!

We’re having a rough first week of first grade as well. Basically it consists of the excuse “I want to be good, but my body just keeps making me talk!”
My worst day was rather mixed. Gym class my freshman year, a girl and I kicked a ball at the same time and slammed into each other. I broke my nose and she had a concussion. The up side to it was a really cute senior carried me to the nurses office.

Worst day of 3rd grade was when I went from long beautiful flowing locks of hair to returning one weekend with an afro cut and perm from my mom. Not to mention the green and plaid black shirt I wore with the new do in my pictures. My sister in law laughed so hard she cried when she saw it. Oh and also remember my principal in 5 or 6th grade giving me a maxi pad that went from the top front to top back of my panties. Boat!!

It was all wonderful until the bus ride home. Getting up and not knowing until I got in the house, my “.” started. No one said anything, but I know they saw. 6th or 7th grade, I don’t know which.

One of the worst days was in high school and hearing that a classmate had gotten into a car accident and died and two others were in a coma. It really hit home.

Worst day ever in 1st grade when I was told I had to go to the speech class because I was “Slow”. You are considered “slow” if you have parents from the South with their own language and teachers who could not understand you. If it was now those words would be added to the dictionary and I would be cool because I made up new words. But for a whole year the other kids called me retarded. My husband still makes fun of some of my words – like zink for sink – oh well gotta keep some of my hertiage 🙂

By far, the worst day I ever had was as a freshmen in hs when the counselor had to visit me in the ladies’ room to calm me down after my boyfriend broke up with me. LONG story short…he and OUR four kids are living happily ever after. 🙂

My worst day of school was in second grade when my friends wouldn’t let me join their “club” because I didn’t have a black and white plaid outfit from K-Mart like they had. I remember sitting at the kitchen counter with the JCPenney’s catalog that night begging my mom to order something similar. She didn’t, and of course, in a few days, the whole thing had blown over.

I have to say one of my bad days in school for me had to be going to my locker mid day to find out my coat was gone. I had to walk home in the cold without my coat because someone had found out my locker combination and stole my new Starter pullover jacket. Not sure if they took it to burn it or because they also were a Raiders fan because it sure wasn’t the Chiefs. Needless to say I never seen anyone walk back inside Northeast Middle with my coat on and I never seen it again.
P.S. I became a subscriber to your emails! 🙂
