365 Days | 365 Items Challenge
I’m embarrassed.
Really embarrassed.
This week, while cleaning out my spare bedroom closet, I realized a have a problem.
I’m truly addicted to beauty products.
It was bad enough showing you all of my fingernail polishes in my spare bathroom, my beauty products in my master bathroom…but now I have to face my addiction head on and show you my big.arse.basket filled with beauty product samples in my spare bedroom.
It all started out innocently enough. Get a few samples…put them in the spare bedroom for guests in case they forgot something.
It morphed into THAT plus, I’ll use those samples when I travel. That way I never have to feel bad about forgetting a bottle at the end of the trip.
And it has turned into something else….a problem.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a ton of time this week to dive into every single sample. Instead, I pulled out the “big items” and placed them in a pile to go to Safehouse (a women’s shelter) and threw away some less than desireable items.
My goal next week is to REALLY go through it and make a bigger pile to go to Safehouse.
Someone will find joy in new makeup brushes or body scrub…and that is a good thing.
So how did you do? What things did you let go this week? What are you doing with all of your unwanted items?
The 365 Day Challenge is getting rid of one item per day over the next year to declutter your house and your life. You can see all past posts on the 365 Days | 365 Items Challenge.

I know I have some things stocked away that would be good for Safehouse too — is there anything in particular they don’t accept?
Kelly Snyder says
I think as long as everything is unused, they are happy to have it.
