I’m a HUGE fan of the 5-in-1 Griddles. They are great for grilling meat, making pancakes, making panini sandwiches and more. We use or 5-in-1 Griddle at least once a week.

What makes the T-fal model different is the sensors. The griddle automatically adapts cooking time to the thickness of any food. It includes six cooking programs: burgers, poultry, sandwiches, sausage, red meat, and fish. If you read the reviews (all 800 of them), people love the T-fal’s ability to cook meat without constant attention. Throw it on, close the lid, go about and do other things, and it will BEEP at you when your meat is ready.

We own the Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler which is a little less at $69.99, but doesn’t contain the sensor, so you have to “watch your food”. Out of all of my small kitchen appliances, it is one of the few that I would buy again if it would break. We really do love it that much.

I think either model is a great deal. But if you plan on cooking meat on a regular basis…the T-fal is the way to go for the extra $30. That whole sensor thing is pretty amazing.
