We are getting ready to start the “meat” of football season…
CONFERENCE PLAY.
And regardless if you are an NCAA or NFL fan, there will be times over the next three months, you will be invited to a football shindig to root for your home team and against their on-going rival.
But football style can be difficult.
- You can spend a small fortune on football style if you aren’t careful. It’s easy to do when sweatshirts are $50 each.
- This isn’t college anymore. You need to look sporty. Throwing on an XL Sweatshirt isn’t going to cut it anymore. Guys like their girls to dress like girls.
- Temperatures range at outdoor football games. Kickoff can be 80 degrees, while end of game can be 55 degrees. You need to dress in layers to stay cool and warm for the whole game.
Luckily, this football style from Old Navy has you covered. Their new lines of NCAA and NFL apparel are stylish and affordable. So look cute next to the Velveeta Ro-tel Dip and stylish when you drinking a beer at a tailgate…and do it for less.

I’m a big fan of layering a long sleeve shirt under a short sleeve shirt, especially when the long sleeve shirt runs long and can “peek” out from under. Also, because the short sleeve shirt is a v-neck, make sure to either layer with a long sleeve v-neck or scoop neck (if you have the assets, might as well show them). As a variation to a white t-shirt, also look for contrasting colors or stripes.
And those gloves. Are they NOT the cutest? Perfect for a game…show you team colors plus keep your hands warm and text updates to the babysitter or kids as needed.
What about you? Do you have GAME DAY style? What are your favorite things to wear to watch football? What do you think about this football style from Old Navy?

Very cute ideas Kelly! I’d love to see cute ideas for kids too :). All the jersey’s seem to be made for boys so I have a hard time styling them to be cute for girls too.

Good point, Char. I’ll do a little research on the kiddos clothes. I know that Old Navy had a line of NCAA t-shirts for girls earlier this year.
