No season makes me as happy as fall.

I love fall — the crisp air, soccer games, campfires and s’mores! What better way to let everyone know how happy you are that it is fall, than by hanging this sweet DIY Fall Sign.

I hung mine on my front door behind my storm door, but you could also display it in your house — on the wall, on your mantle or on a shelf.

Get your kids involved by having them hunt for some twigs in your yard. The sign was super easy to make and turned out adorable. I hope you are enjoying your fall as much as I am!

DIY Fall Sign

What you will need:

• 8.5 x 11 picture Frame (remove glass)
• Craft paper (fall inspired, trim to 8.5 x 11)
• Printer
• Twigs from your yard
• Hot glue
• Ribbon

Instructions to make:

1. Go outside and collect a bundle of small twigs from your yard.
2. On your computer, using a typeface you like (I used Impact), type the word “Happy.” Make sure it is towards the top of your paper, but is low enough to not be covered by your frame.
3. Print your “Happy” onto your craft paper. Print your “Happy” sheet on plain paper first to make sure it will be lined up correctly in your frame.
4. Insert your craft paper into your frame (glass removed). Attach the frame backing.
5. Next, start laying out your twigs to spell “Fall” under “Happy” on your craft paper. Break the twigs to make it smaller.
6. Once you like your “Fall” layout, start hot gluing the twigs down onto the craft paper. Let cool completely.
7. Attach a fun ribbon to the frame and then hang either on your front door (protected by a storm door) or somewhere in your home.
