This cookie bar has many names…magic, everything, seven layer, mommy-crack.
But it my mind, it is the Disney Copycat Magic Cookie Bar Recipe.
I had this bar for the first time three years ago at Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World.
And after the first bar, I bought a second. Then a third. Then a fourth. Then I bought two “for the road” and slapped my kid’s hands when they tried to get a bite.
Needless to say, I was hooked.
The secret to this bar is how you layer the ingredients…I’m a fan of the coconut and chocolate on the bottom. I can’t quite put a finger on it, but I believe with all of my Mickey-Mouse heart there is some magical blending that happens and makes the bars taste different than if you don’t.
Now to make a pan and pretend I’m at the happiest place on earth.
Disney Copycat Magic Cookie Bar Recipe
This cookie bar has many names…magic, everything, seven layer, mommy-crack. But in my mind, it is the Disney Copycat Magic Cookie Bar Recipe.
Recipe Yields: One 9″ x 13″ pan, how big you decide to cut them is up to you.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 ounces)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup mini M&M candies
1.25 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a 9″ x 13″ glass pan, melt butter in oven. Around 5 minutes.
3. Evenly, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter.
4. Pour sweetened condensed milk over graham cracker crumbles.
5. Top in the following order: coconut, semi-sweet chips, nuts, butterscotch chips and mini M&Ms.
I know this seems silly, but believe me, when you don’t put the toppings on in this order, the bars don’t taste like Disney.
6. Press down firmly.
7. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
8. Place pan on a wire rack and cool completely.
9. Cut into desired size and store either covered at room temperature or in refrigerator.
