Okay, so maybe the title is a little misleading.
Because no matter how you break it down, a green smoothie isn’t going to taste like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. (We can still wish though, right?)
With that being said, I can say with 100% certainty that this “Tastes Like Ice Cream Protein Green Smoothie Recipe” is the creamiest green smoothie you’ll ever drink…seriously, it is as creamy as ice cream. (No joke.)
I love this recipe because it is HIGH in protein and fiber without having to add any super-expensive protein powder. The protein pack-punch is a combination of Silk Cashew Milk as the base for the smoothie, coupled with the raw cashews that have been soaked overnight.
(Yes, I said raw, soaked cashews. I understand if you think this is weird. I did too, until I had them for the first time, and then I was a FULL-ON believer in their power to create creamy, sweet yumminess.)
Plus, if you haven’t experienced the creaminess that is Silk Cashew Milk, you are missing out. My husband, who is lactose-intolerant, even said this morning, “This is the closest thing I’ve found to the taste of regular milk.” We love using Silk products as the base for our smoothies – they multi-task by providing creaminess and flavor all in one carton.
Plus, if you sign up for the Silk Newsletter, you’ll get money-saving coupons and recipes (which is always a nice plus for the dairy-free household) or check their arsenal of smoothie recipes at their Smoothie Solution page.
