This is one of my FAVORITE holiday deals, and it’s extended through the end of today! Here’s your last chance.
Amazon is offering a one-time coupon code for 30% off any book…and while you could use it on any book (Best Books of 2014, NY Times Best Seller List, or Kid’s Best Sellers), I’m partial to use it on my other addiction….cookbooks.
So, if you are like, “bleh, cookbooks”…take your Amazon Coupon Code and go shopping and you can skip the rest of this post. Just use code HOLIDAY30 at checkout to receive your discount.
(This code can not be used for audiobooks or ebooks, old school hardcover only. And remember, it is only good for one book)
So, without further ado, these are the cookbooks that either I own (and love and use often) or have lusted after and will probably be purchasing after this post goes live.
Order is “what I own and love” followed by “what I’m coveting”.
REMEMBER, the 30% CODE NO LONGER WORKS…YOU NEED TO USE BOOKDEAL25 for a 25% DISCOUNT.
1. The America’s Test Kitchen New Family Cookbook – Own it
I recently purchased this from Costco and it has become a new staple in my meal planning. The reason I love America’s Test Kitchen Cookbooks so much is that every recipe is tested (and then tested a gazillion more times) and they tell you which brand of whatever ingredient works better and WHY it works better. We’ve made over a dozen recipes out of this cookbook and they have all been two-thumbs up by our entire family.
2. The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook – Own it
Deb is a blogger. (Way more successful that me.) And Deb makes amazing food. It’s complex, but the ingredients aren’t complex. It takes simple things you can find in Walmart and MacGuyver it into this amazing, healthy (and usually vegetarian) recipe. This is not the most kid-friendly cookbook (Cauliflower Pasta, MOM? Really?), but Hubs and I love it. And there is always Mac and Cheese for those other people in our house.
3. Barefoot Contessa: Foolproof – Own It
Ina Garten is my new foodie-crush. I’ve had this cookbook for a year and every recipe is amazing-sauce. In fact, several of the recipes on the blog have been inspired by this cookbook’s recipes. This cookbook is great for walking you through complex tasks, so you feel comfortable with the process, if you are a nervous cook. Amazing recipes. Amazing instructions.
4. Big Bowl of Love – Own It
One of the most underrated cookbooks, ever. There are over 20 recipes in here that are staples at Casa de Snyder and they are all amazing. Homemeade Silky Marina, Homemade Chicken Stock, Chicken Pot Pie, White Bean Dip, Smashed Potatoes and more. I know the ratings are scary, but I love this cookbook. And it is a steal at the price.
5. Pioneer Woman Cookbooks – Own All of Them
Do you want homestyle food? These cookbooks are winners. Especially the first one…it’s real…stick to your bones food, no one leaves the table hungry and kids ask for seconds. I also love that her cookbooks come with step-by-step photo instructions.
6. America Test Kitchen Slow Cooker Revolution – Own It
So all the things I love about the America Test Kitchen New Family Cookbook, except is all about SLOW COOKERS. #enoughsaid Because, let’s be honest, we need to move beyond soups and roasts in our slow cookers.
7. Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook – Own It
There are just occasions that you need to know how to make homemade caramel and you don’t want it to be some super-fancy-caramel. Or you plain white frosting…or homemade pudding. This is the cookbook. There is a reason that grandma’s chocolate cake is always so amazing…it came from this cookbook.
8. Thug Kitchen: The Official Cookbook: Eat Like You Give a F*ck – OWN IT
We are trying to eat more and more vegan/vegetarian. We feel better. We keep extra weight off. But we are Nebraska-beef-raised kids, so vegetarian meals have to be FILLING. I’m thinking this cookbook might be “that” cookbook. If you can get over the language, it’s very colorful, it’s an awesome vegetarian cookbook.
9. How To Eataly: A Guide to Buying, Cooking, and Eating Italian Food – Coveting
I went to NYC this fall. I went to Eataly. HOLY COW, peeps. It was amazing. I wish I would have had more time, because it was truly a mecca for any food-loving, make-from-scratch, love-quality-ingredients heaven. This cookbook was available at the store and I thought about seven times about purchasing it, but didn’t want to schlep around the rest of NYC. This alone has me sold, “The more you know, the more you will enjoy” is the philosophy behind Eataly.
10. The Skinnytaste Cookbook – OWN IT
I’ve been eyeing this cookbook for a few months. I’ve followed Gina’s blog for awhile and she is the real deal. And as I get older, it becomes harder and harder to keep pounds off (especially if you love to eat like me). This is the best of the best…good homemade food, that is good for you and low on calories. Win.
All will ship for FREE with Super Saver Shipping and $35 purchase or FREE with Amazon Prime. Remember to use code HOLIDAY30 at checkout to get your discount.
