It’s Saturday Peeps!
This week was a blessing in comparison to last week. My kitchen is back in working order (it’s FAR AWAY from being done), but I can use my sink, stove, fridge, and dishwasher. Do you know what a blessing it is to put dirty dishes in a dishwasher vs trying to wash them in the bathroom sink?
Words. Can. Not. Describe. (But I’m going to try.)
Which leads me to my first thing for this week…
1. A Working Kitchen.
I took it for granted. I’m guessing, we all do.
An appliance goes down for the count, you have choices…buy a new one, find a work around, get it repaired. But when ALL OF YOUR APPLIANCES are unusable, it throws your entire household into disarray. You eat all your meals out. Eating a bowl of cereal is a big deal because the cereal is downstairs, the bowls are in the spare room, and the milk is in the fridge that is in the middle of your living room. Remodeling is not for the faint of heart, peeps.
Your kitchen is the heart of your home and when it is going through surgery, it throws your entire system out whack. So hug your dishwasher, your oven, your fridge or your microwave today and let them know, you love and appreciate them.
2. Bikini Body Mommy Challenge.
Earlier this year, I got invited by my former pastor, Molly, to do this challenge. At the time, I was in a workout slump and needed a boost.
Molly sold me because it was only 20 minutes a day, can be done at home, and focused on high intensity cardio and weight training (that means work hard for one minute and then rest for 30 seconds). And 90 days later…I was hooked and was back on the wagon of working out consistently.
I love Bikini Body Mommy Challenge because…
- It’s 20 minutes total (who can’t fit that in),
- You can do it from home with equipment you probably already have,
- Briana is REAL. She’s not a workout model. She has kids. Her kids get in the way. She has a hard time doing all the exercises for the entire time,
- And she doesn’t focus on weight. She focuses on measurements and strength.
If you are looking for a workout that you can do at home, stick with for 90 days, and have great results, join me (and about 100,000 of your closest friends) for Briana’s Bikini Body Mommy Challenge starting on Monday, 9/8.
3. Maroon 5.
This week their new album “V” was released.
And the dates for the next world tour were also announced. (They will be in Kansas City on March 21 at the Sprint Center.)
And as expected, Adam Levine was EVERYWHERE promoting their new album and tour dates. And while that would have made me happy all by itself…this skit with Adam and Jimmy Fallon made my Wednesday. If you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT. If you have already seen it, watch it again. I’d be happy to listen to Adam sing Sesame Street all.day.long.
What things did you love this week? Leave me a comment…and maybe they will become something I will love next week.
