Disclosure: I am a Ragú brand representative and have been compensated for this post. However, all the words are all my own.
Dinner is a non-negotiable in our house.
Not that we will all eat dinner, but whoever is in the house is required to sit down together for the meal. That may mean a meal at 5:00 or 7:30 depending on the day and the activities. But for our family, it is important to connect at the end and share that tradition.
Over the years, I’ve learned that the experience of sitting down together is more important than the elaborateness of the meal. Equally amazing conversations have happened over grilled cheese or filet mignon.
We’ve learned about girlfriends. Fights with good friends. Bad days. Great days. Disappointments. Challenges. Moments that make your heart melt. And moments that make your heart break. Our kids get to hear about our days – some good and some bad. But what they realize through all of these conversations is we will always be a unit, backing each other up, regardless of the situation.
So while I try to make most of our meals from scratch, I’m thankful for quick, easy to make meals. Easy meals help us continue to keep dinner time a priority when the stress and demands of the day make it too hard to think about “What’s For Dinner?”
Our favorite quick meal – spaghetti with meat sauce. And our favorite brand is Ragú. Each jar of our Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce is made with 11 juicy tomatoes making it its richest, thickest recipe.
Ragú has made it even easier to create original, quick meals at home.
