I have big boobs.
(There I said it. And they are boobs. They were breasts when I was 20. I’m 40 now, they are boobs.)
And therefore, as a woman with big boobs, I can’t buy any old bra. I wish I could, because there are so many BEAUTIFUL and INEXPENSIVE bras in smaller sizes.
But, as any “well endowed” women will tell you, finding a bra that is comfortable, supportive and stylish is HARD. You can usually find two out of the three qualities. So you will either have a white, utilitarian, but comfortable bra. Or a pretty bra that you can’t wait to rip off at the end of the night. (And not for THAT reason.)
I’ve written before about Why Your Bra is Making You Look Fat so you know I am a BIG BELIEVER in getting fitted for the right size bra and choosing a style of bra that compliments your boobs (because my 36DD boobs are different than another women’s 36DD boobs). Having a good-fitting bra gives you confidence because it makes you look 10 pounds lighter and is comfortable on your skin and not digging into your shoulders, back or underarms.
I’ve exclusively worn Vanity Fair Bras for almost 20 years. I bought my first one in college and was hooked because it actually covered everything, lifted and separated, and came in fun colors and styles. (Which is IMPORTANT to a girl in her 20s!)
And even though I have more money and could afford a different brand of bra, I still wear Vanity Fair. They STILL lift and separate, come in fun colors, and hold up to the washing machine.
