Anyone else ever have “those” weeks?
That week that is filled with band concerts, piano lessons, Boy Scout meetings, Girl Scout meetings, sports practices, and that doesn’t even include your own stuff of business trips, a hair cut, and the dog groomer.
During “those” weeks, I’m thankful for this 15 Minute Skillet Burrito Recipe that only takes six ingredients and is a 9 out 10 star meal with my kiddos. And my reaction…it was pretty darn good. So good in fact, that I would serve it as an appetizer at our next get together. #winformom
Normally, I’m not a fan of “pre-made” mixes or marinades, but these new McCormick Skillet Sauces are made with natural ingredients that I can pronounce. In fact, here is the list…
Water, Tomato Paste, Paprika, Chipotle Chili Pepper, Garlic, Onion, Corn Starch, Salt, Sugar, Latic Acid, and Citric Acid.
The new McCormick Skillet Sauces are found at Walmart and other major grocery stores and are on the shelf next to the other seasoning packets for under $2.00 per packet. Which is a steal when you are tying to get dinner on the table before you are off to your next activity.
This 15 Minute Skillet Burrito recipe is so versatile. Serve with lettuce for a salad, flour tortillas as a traditional burrito, or tortilla chips as a dip. And then add whatever toppings you want…onions, avacado, tomato, salsa, sour cream, etc.
Plus, it’s pretty darn healthy if you use lean ground beef and reduced-fat cheese. 15 minutes, easy, healthy, and kid-approved….I’m SOLD.

Any suggestions on how to make this wothout the premade mix? I cannot find it at the stores. Thanks!
Kelly says
Did you look for the pre-made mix in the aisle with other packets? If so, and it still isn’t there. I’d substitute a packet of taco seasoning and between 3/4 to 1 cup of mild salsa.
