Hy-Vee stores have recently introduced the NuVal™ System, a mathematical algorithm that scores food on a scale of 1 to 100. The higher the NuVal™ Score, the higher the nutrition. The score can be found on shelf tags and is meant to “cut through the clutter of nutrition information so you can make informed decisions about food quickly, easily and with confidence.” Read more.
