Welcome KC Live Viewers – 10/3

Welcome KC Live Viewers!

Thanks for watching me today (10/3/12).

Here are the tips I shared today about saving money on makeup.

1. Drugstore Brands have come along way in the past five years. Use beauty lists from Glamour or InStyle which always include drugstore finds. Even better – most drugstores have great return policies. For example, CVS will allow you to return any product within 60 days with a receipt for a full refund.

2. A set of good brushes is a necessity. My favorite inexpensive brushes are from Sonia Kashuk at Target. Best $25 you will ever spend.

3. Mass retailers have partnered with makeup professionals and celebrities to create high-end lines at affordable prices. CVS has the Nuance Line by Salma Hayek and Target has the Jemma Kidd line – both give department store quality products at drugstore prices.

4. If you love department store brands, know the dates of their “Bonus Buy Events”. Usually if you spend $35 – 40, you’ll receive a bag of full-size goodies. And if you have heard about a specific department store item, ask the makeup counter if they have a FREE sample for you to try.

5. Love department store brands, but would like to try them out first. Check out sample box programs like Glossybox. You’ll get between five and seven large size samples of department store brands delivered to your mailbox for around $20.00 a month.

And here is the spot if you missed it.

And if you want information like this in your mailbox everyday – make sure to sign up the FREE Kansas City Mamas Email Newsletter.

Liked the jewelry I was wearing today? It’s Stella & Dot. Check out their awesome selection. It’s my go-to source for statement necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
