It’s funny how you can gage the age of your children by what is left in their pockets in the laundry room…
With my youngest, I still find little toys or pencils. With my two teenagers, I find headphones, food wrappers and unfortunately, ball point pens. (Usually red or black. When I wash with whites.)
A couple of weeks ago a red pen was left in one of my older boys’ pockets. Needless to say, the load of “brights” got a whole lot more colorful with red ink smears on everything. Actually, it looked like a crime scene and I had no desire to play detective. With a lot of googling, hairspray, stain sticks and elbow grease, I was able to make the clothes look as good as new.
Since it took me a good 15 minutes of Google Search and a last ditch attempt on Facebook, I knew I needed to make a laundry room stain removal guide printable and attach it to the wall. Hopefully, this will save all of you the frustration of red ball point pen.
