If you’ve watched the news lately or have a small child, you know that we are in the throes of cold and flu season. As tempting as it might be to hibernate until Spring, life will come calling. 1). Get plenty of sleep. 8 hours to be exact.
2). Exercise regularly. Get your heart rate going for at least 30 minutes a day. Walk, run, do lunges up your stairs with baby in tow. Find ways to integrate more steps into your routine.
3). Eat a balanced diet – plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein.
4). Drink lots of water.
5). Wash your hands with soap and water. Often.
