The weather turned a little cooler this week, pumpkin spice is dominating the coffee houses, and the hottest tech gadgets have been released just before the Holiday season. What’s that you say? Holiday? Yep. So it begins.
When I think about buying presents for my kids and loved ones, I ask myself a few key questions:

- What will the recipient of my gift really love (and use)?
- What can I afford?
In anticipation of a busy Holiday season, Hasbro gave us bloggers a sneak peek of some of the up-and-coming toys for 2014. Here are some of the toys I’m most excited about:
DohVinci Style & Store Vanity Kit: This is like Play-Doh for the grown up girl. The vanity can actually be used as a real storage kit, and it has all kinds of tools to mold the dough as decoration. Perfect for your crafty diva.
Playskool Stack N Spin Monkey : I love this toy because it is more than just a toy. It encourages fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cognitive reasoning. Plus, it’s cute, not too loud, and will keep a little one engaged for HOURS.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Equestria girls are all the rage. And this particular kit has it all. A fairy costume. Hair extensions. Accessories. Heaven for your little lady.
SIMON Swipe: I love this because I loved SIMON as a kid. Hours and hours of dependable action. This new take on the classic can be played solo or with friends. I’m thinking this is the perfect sleepover material.
