Make your prep easy: I recently invested in some appetizer plates and silverware for entertaining. They aren’t fancy, but they also aren’t plastic. I can pull them out on the fly and I don’t have to worry that I’m not stocked with paper supplies when I want to have people over last-minute. The plates are small enough I can fit 24 in my dishwasher making post-party clean-up a snap.
Create a list of go-to menus: Every time I entertain, I save my menu on a 3×5 recipe card. That way, I can remember what I served, and I have ideas for my next event. Just recently I had a friend ask me to help her create a menu for a jewelry party. It was easy to assist with my list of menus.
