Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and my husband is already asking what I’d like for a gift. While Mother’s Day is quickly becoming one of the biggest consumer spending holidays and we all anticipate a little token of affection, so many of us would really like to be asked, how would you like to spend your special day?
This past Sunday, when the weather was cold and stormy, we spent the entire day indoors together. It was one of the most relaxing days we’ve had in a while. No running from place to place, just time together. For me, that’s my ideal Mother’s Day – church and a relaxing day spent together with the people I love.
I love the idea of a HoneyBaked Ham for Mother’s Day for this very reason. I don’t want to get stuck standing in line at a crowded brunch restaurant waiting for a table after church with a bunch of cranky strangers. And, I certainly don’t want to have to cook. You all know my family dinner woes. How easy would it be to have a delicious dinner waiting for me that I know everyone will love?
I even came across an easy recipe dad and the kids could help with, if they felt so inclined.
HoneyBaked Ham Pizza
Preheat oven to 450º
Using pre-cooked Focaccia bread or pre-cooked pizza crust, layer in this order:
- 1 – 10″ pizza crust base
- 1/2 cup prepared pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped Honeybaked Ham
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped pineapple slices
- 1 1/3 cup grated mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
Bake for 15 minutes.
