Spring Break has ended and the kids are back in school. Yay!
But this means there are only weeks – yes weeks – left until Summer vacation begins.
While I’m sure we all are looking forward to the warmer weather, the thought of a wide-open calendar and kiddos off school gives this mama heart palpitations. That is why at this time of year, I always start making my list of things to do with kids in Kansas City.
Crown Center is always at the top of that list. And, since 2012, that has included SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. If you haven’t been to SEA LIFE or LEGOLAND yet, you’re in for a treat. If you have, you’ll still want to go back and check out the newest additions.
On March 7th, SEA LIFE opened its new Claws exhibit. Claws allows guests of all ages to come face-to-face with different species of crustaceans, including a 14-foot Japanese Spider Crab, Coconut Crabs, Fiddler Crabs, plus many more. It includes interactive features that allow guests to learn the anatomy of these amazing crustaceans and feel the shell textures of the different species. Guests can also learn the secrets to grabbing objects using a crab claw and see unique videos of crabs doing various activities.
At LEGOLAND, check out the new LEGO Friends area, including Olivia’s House. I absolutely love that LEGO now offers products geared toward our daughters. The LEGO 4D Movies never disappoint, and they rotate often so you’ll always see something new.
